1- Locate the
installation point and make sure that the pipe's external
surface is fully clean and does not have any faults or
carvings in the O-ring contact area. Place the O-ring in the
right position into the clamp saddle. |
 |
2- Place the
lower part of the clamp saddle (i.e. the base) in the chosen
point. Couple the upper part of the clamp saddle (i.e. the
branch) with the lower one. |
 |
3- Insert the
screws from the bottom (the blind part of the clamp saddle,
i.e. the base, has appropriate holes for the head screws).
Screw the nuts and tighten the bolts diagonally. |
 |
4- Drill a hole
in the pipe wall being careful not to damage the clamp
saddle screw thread and the O-ring. Use a spacer to avoid
drilling the other side of the pipe. |

Alternative
method : |
 |
1- Mark with a
white indelible pen some reference lines on the pipe to
place the clamp saddle in the same position again.
Disassemble the clamp saddle. |
 |
2-
Drill the hole in the pipe wall
and remove the scraps. Assemble the clamp saddle according
to the marked lines; to keep the hole in axis with the
branch direction it can help to use a pin, such as the drill
used to make the hole. |
